About Me
I'm Eddie Marsh. I live in Deep East Texas, and have been blessed with a wonderful family, lots of kin folk who live nearby, and I like being a GrandPa! We enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, snow skiing, gardening, and many other outdoor activities.
I am an inactive private pilot who hopes to find more time for flying and soaring in the future. I don’t skydive or practice falconry anymore, but do enjoy motorcycling, GeoCaching & sailing, and still like to snowboard whenever I get the chance to.
Music has always been important part of my life. My musical interest are quite varied. It seems, I’m inclined to learn a little about a lot of different instruments, rather than concentrating on any one instrument, so chances are I’ll never be an accomplished musician. I have built a banjo, dulcimer, banjo-lele, and several Native American flutes, and also play a little trumpet, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, concertina, and piano. I've tried my hand at playing cello, and hope to someday attempt dobro. I also enjoy
Sacred Harp singing when the opportunity presents itself.
Professionally, I’ve been involved with computers since 1974, and recently retired from
The University of Texas at Tyler.
Drop me a line, if you like. You can also find me on Facebook.
