Since entering the IT field in the mid-seventies, I've gained considerable experience with maintaining computer systems and programs on various hardware and software platforms.  With plans to retire soon from state service, I am in a particularly good place to take on selected contract programming projects to supplement my state pension.
 
I have a good deal of experience maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases, and have worked with many technical aspects of PeopleSoft applications since 1998.  I've also created a number of web, VisualBasic/VB.net and scripted database applications, and have also written my share of TCP/IP programs, and and experimented with some web-services.
 
My onsite consulting rates will be very competitive, and significant additional savings will be available for work that I am able to perform remotely from my own home office.
 
PeopleSoft and related experience:
  • 8 years installing and maintaining Financials and Supply Chain Managements (
    versions 7.02, 8.0, 8.9)
    on Windows servers using MS SQL Server databases
  • limited exposure to HRMS (7.0 and 8.0) and helped convert it from Oracle to MS SQL Server databases
  • Oracle7 Database Administrator certification (although I much prefer working with MS SQL Server)
  • 2+ years implementing and maintaining Campus Solutions 9.0 using "Shared Services" (three campus) model on hosted IBM servers with Oracle 10.2 and 11.2 databases
  • significant experience in integrating PeopleSoft data with dissimilar systems using VBScripting, SFTP, and process scheduling facilities.
  • 33 years of varied experience in program development and database administration roles which I may draw upon to create new IT solutions (For more details, please refer to my resume.)
